Host Remote lets you operate available game controls from a phone or tablet while your main host session stays open. It is a private control surface for the host.
Keep the main host session ready
Open your game on the main host device and keep its game tab connected. Prepare your playback source there before pairing the remote.
The phone controls the session; it does not become the music playback device. Keep the computer, connector and music software needed by your playback method running.
Both devices need internet access to BingoBeats. Pair the remote before the event so you can test reception where you will be walking.
Pair your phone or tablet
- Open the game's Settings page and select Connect Remote in Host Remote.
- Scan the pairing QR code with the device you want to use as the remote.
- Complete the connection before the displayed countdown expires. Generate another pairing code if it expires.
- Check the connected status in Settings and test a control in a practice game.
Control songs and timing
Watch the host-connected status. If playback controls are unavailable, restore the main game tab's connection before trying repeatedly. Use the main host screen to start or finish the round.

Manage players and claims
Use the same care as on the main host screen. A remote confirmation is a real host action, not a preview.
- Review waiting players and admit them individually or use Admit All when appropriate.
- Review pending bingo claims and use the available confirmation or clearing controls.
- Open a player's card to investigate a question.
- Remove a player when necessary, or use Allow Back for a removed player who should be able to return.
Disconnect when you are finished
Use the remote page's disconnect control to disconnect that device. In the main game's Host Remote settings, Disconnect revokes the connected remotes.
If you shared pairing information by mistake, disconnect the remotes and pair only the intended device again.
When a session or pairing expires, return to the host Settings page for a fresh connection. Do not reuse an old QR screenshot as a permanent access method.
If a remote stops responding
- Check internet access on the phone and main host device.
- Return to the main host game tab and confirm it is connected and the game is still active.
- Check the music source separately if game controls update but no sound is heard.
- If the remote session cannot recover, disconnect it and pair again from Settings.
Common questions
Can I close the host computer after pairing?
Keep the host game tab and required playback software running. The remote does not replace them.
Does Pause Timer stop the song?
It pauses the countdown. Use the music Play / Pause control where supported when you intend to pause audio.
Can guests use the same QR code to join?
No. Give guests the player QR code or game code, never the private Host Remote pairing QR code.
